Friends, the Foundation of the California African American Museum

Friends, the Foundation of the California African American Museum (Friends) came into being in 1997 and serves as the 501(c)3 tax exempt partner of the California African American Museum for the purpose of providing CAAM with programmatic, financial and operational support and volunteer services. The mission of the California African American Museum (CAAM) is to research, collect, preserve and interpret for public enrichment, the history, art, and culture of African Americans with an emphasis on the western United States.
