Holistic Offerings and Opportunities for People (the HOOP Foundation), a federally recognized Non-Profit Organization established in 2008, is based in Inglewood, California. Currently operating in partnership with Local Middle Schools, Unity One, City Lites and Youth Edutainment League. The HOOP Foundation focuses on providing opportunities for youth to belong to something physically and mentally enriching that builds youth spiritually. Bryan C Jones and Timothy Griffith have been developing the HOOP Foundation since 2006 with core programs that offer Youth Resources, Athletics, Peer-Support, Multi Media and Performing Arts. HOOP also provides Life Coaching—a unique approach to mentoring, tutoring and academic guidance. HOOP’s Life Coaches come from all walks of life, including Professional Volunteers from Businesses, Educators, Coaches in the community and students pursuing professional degrees. The HOOP Foundation dedicated to Engage, Empower and Inform underserved youth through activities specific to entertainment and athletic vocations by providing a safe and comfortable atmosphere for participant 6th- 8th grade to strive Life Coaches will sustain 2 years of positive contact including 500 hours minimum. Project’s goals, outcomes and performance measures: 86 percent of the students/mentor matches sustained. Improve overall GPA’s implement sustainable study habits. 10-week workshop Circle of Life Garden Project Scholarship Awards Any participant 6th thru 8th grades who maintains a grade point average of 3.0, out of a possible 4.0, and receives no citizenship marks below satisfactory, during any quarter he /she is participating in Performing Arts, Youth Athletics or Spirit Leading, is eligible to receive the HOOP Foundation Scholarship Award.
