Didi Hirsch CMHC Suicide Prevention Center

Founded in 1948 as the first 24-hour suicide prevention crisis line in the United States, Didi Hirsch’s Suicide Prevention Center provides emotional support, referrals, and information to more than 21,000 callers yearly. The Center also offers Survivors After Suicide (SAS), a support program for those who have lost a loved one to suicide, and outreach and educational series for the community. The Center is a division of Didi Hirsch Community Mental Health Center, a non-profit organization providing mental health and substance abuse services throughout Los Angeles County.
