The mission of the Human Services and Family Development (HSFD) Division is to develop and maintain strong, self-sufficient families and build safe, viable neighborhoods. This is done in partnerships with community-based organizations, citizens' groups, task forces, advisory panels and business interests. These partners provide a key link to communities in need, bringing insight, sensitivity and a sense of urgency to the pressing concers of the City of L.A.
